The T-shirt is a thin light weight cotton that feels very soft and totally comfortable. I haven't washed it yet so I don't know if there will be changes. I am glad the T-shirt is not too much of a regular cut, I hate when the front hangs down lower on me than the back because that feels weird and I don't have a pot belly. So, I would say the cut is more athletic than regular.
