Section 60 Arlington Cemetery

SKU ID #103941
$19.98
It has been called "the saddest acre in America." It is also once of the most sacred. Situated in a quiet pocket of Arlington National Cemetery, Section 60 is a final resting place for young men and women who died fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. For families and friends, it is a place to grieve, to honor, to remember, and to find comfort and community with others who have shared the same profound loss.

    Comments about this product:

I bought this as my father is buried in Section 60, and I had viewed the National Geographic film on Arlington (which was excellent). While I thought it gave insight to those buried in section 60, it focused on those from Iraq and Afghanistan. There also are those from Korea all the way up to Vietnam there too. Overall, the film lacked something.. and I can't put my finger on what.

      Comments about this product:

Well i have not technically purchased this product yet... but i have seen parts of this documentary on HBO and saw that it featured the funeral of my good friend Staff Sergeant Eric T. Duckworth and wanted to purchase it as a rememberance of what him and countless others sacrificed for this country. I never actually got to attend his funeral and actually found out about it a year after it happened. Had lost touch since HS. I believe this is a great documentary and should be seen by all.

        Comments about this product:

For a long time Americans were not allowed to see our honored dead when brought home to Dover air base.
Our highest officials prevented us from doing so.
HBO has honored our dead and their relatives and permitted us to see their enormous suffering.
Thank goodness for this production...all Americans from teens to elderly adults should see this starting with our senators and congresspersons. Should be shown in all high school government and civics classes.

          Comments about this product:

I purchased Section 60 because I am a military brat, and love everything about Arlington National Cemetery! This documentary is a heart-wrenching and gripping look into those families left behind, and the relationships/bonds between these families. I will watch it over again, and share it with my children.

I think this was very well done. It is important that we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country and those who live with it every day.
