Armand Assante was cast perfectly for this role and nails it like no other could have. The rest of the cast is brilliant also, many who would later have huge roles in the Sopranos and other great mafia films. I loved this movie as a teen, and hadn't seen it in over 10 years when I found it online and loved watching it again. It's a classic.
