This is definitely for adults. The dark side of this plot is interlaced with enough humor to make me smile again. As I start to like one character, he/she is killed or proves untrustworthy. Rome Lives!

This is THE best television EVER produced. It is the only time I have ever felt true sadness knowing that we will not be allowed to see more. The acting, storyline,sets are so far above ANYTHING that has been done. It boggles my mind why the HBO and BBC didn't get it together to continue and yet they let some of the worst go on like Def Jam,Sopranos,Sex in the city..... stupid people. THANK YOU Bruno!

This series offers historical accuracy intertwined with engaging story lines about the lives of Romans at all levels of society. The acting is superb. The relationship between Attia and Servillia demonstrates the subtleties of political power shifts during the time of Julius Caesar and the shift from power in Senate to power in the Emperor. The central roles of Caesar, Octavian, Attia, Octavia, Niobe, Servillia, Mark Antony, Brutus, Pompeii, Pulo, Vorenus (and many others) are played wonderfully and capture the imagination throughout the whole series. I truly loved this series as did my late partner Philip Argument and would highly recommend it to you. The screenplay is done to a magnificent standard and you will be enthralled from start to finish. I wish there could be another series, but history has a way of deciding the end of us a story for us!!

This is in my home collection and when viewed using a Blue Ray player and LCD 48 inch flat screen system it just stands out.
The sound is effective and clear.
The picture is clear, color enhanced and graphics are breath taking.
It draws you in to the story and you become a viewer involved with events and time.

I watch the series at home! I love history and it keeps me engaged in each episode, and ready to see the next one! Some of the actors in ROME have become my very favorites.
It really gives you an idea of what life in ancient Rome might have been like, and you imagine yourself being there. I fell in love with it for portraying all aspects of the Roman culture. I wish the series would have continued for more seasons so I was sad when it ended. I feel that there is so much more that could have continued on. I am very anxious for the movie to come out in the next few years! I will always be a fan of this series and I still watch it from beginning to end.

Is spanish language included as part of the DVD, all in all an excellent series, best of the best along with The Wire, but the information does not specify the languages in the track other than english, please update the information if included, thanks.

This series is complete. The only thing better than the acting and the historical set is the history, tragedy, and emotion they convey. I was captivated by every episode. The chemistry of the actors is prevalent in every episode. By the second season I found myself watching two or three episodes in a row. Best HBO series, second to Deadwood, in the past 5 years.

I thought this series was simply amazing. I can not believe how educational it turned out to be. My intention was to watch television. It turned out to be a very informative, educational, gripping story of how the world truely was at one time. It is a must for you to buy and watch this.

Mesmerizing! This is a amazing series. I actually admire HBO for keeping the series short. The soundtrack is imprinted in my mind. Hypnotic, sexy, moody. I look for other work from these actors just to see if they are that good or it was just the series.
