Great tunes, enjoyed the music while enjoying some hootch (scotch) and a cigar but missed the opening theme song by the Brian jones group, try to put it in Volume 2. Thanks

If you are an "old timer" this is fabulous music!
Very few drums, amplifiers and rock guitars. All natural sounds with a bass, baritone or tuba setting the beat. Lyrics are clean, understandable and the sound is superb.

I'd like more of the genuine, researched and reproduced Jazz from the 20's and 30' and 30's .

I didn't look at the product description prior to purchasing. I thought that this would be music directly from the show itself in its original form. I was initially disappointed when I heard that it was new recordings of old songs. I was looking for that song in particular in the scene where the agent was meeting and having sex with Lucy. But still overall it was ok. I don't think that I would buy volume 2 at full price though.

The best way to get this period in early jazz right is to hire Vince Giordano. His vast knowledge of the reality of the music from this time recreated using top flight musicians make for an adventure in time travel.
I was only acquainted with a few of singers on this album, and was perhaps expecting broadway show type singing, but was pleasantly surprised with many of the renditions.
As an afficianado of old recordings, the only thing I missed on this CD is the hiss of old record noise.
